Tiny Planets is a co-production between Pepper's Ghost, a UK based animation company, and Sesame Workshop, world-renown producers of 'Sesame Street'. Originally conceived as a 'pre-school, pre-science' program, Tiny Planets is a television series where every episode maps to a specific early learning goal as defined in the QCA Foundation Stage (see ELG matrix and episode list).

On this site we have provided a wide range of materials to support learning and play activities. There are also the episodes themselves, featuring the adventures of two small furry friends, Bing & Bong, who set out each day on an new adventure to one of the many Tiny Planets in the tiny universe which surrounds them. Bing & Bong travel through space on a furry white sofa attached to the home planet by a very long piece of elastic. Their adventures are voyages of exploration and discovery, meeting new friends and figuring out all kinds of important stuff along the way, before they return back home to their sofa bed and a well deserved rest.

The tiny planets are: Light and Colour, Technology, Sound, Stuff (the planet of physical properties), Nature and Self (the planet of emotional development). With each of the planets comes an activity (lesson) plan tailored to the episode (see 'Activities' tab), read along stories, interactive click-throughs for younger children, and of course the games section which caters to a wide range of ages.
